Private tutor in Richmond, KY

Education

Eastern KY University, BS Biology, GPA 3.6, Master's student Public Health-Environmental Health Science, GPA 4.0, Graduating in summer 2012

Experience

I enjoy teaching people new things in a fun, creative way. My mother was a teacher for over 30 years and she always told me I should be a teacher. When it comes to kids, I have great patience. I worked as a teacher, during the summer after my freshman year of college, for a remedial program (RISE); I taught K-1st grade ages. I substitute taught as an instructional assistant 8 years ago. I have had a wide array of science classes ranging from basic science to microbiology, virology, genetics, anatomy, physiology, ecology, etc. I have had numerous chemistry and physics classes, yet I never considered them my strong suit. I am now focusing, in graduate school, on more of the environmental sciences such as food and waterborne disease, toxicology, human behavior, epidemiology, and biostatistics.
